The Croydon Municipal Officers Bowling Club was formed in 1907 by several council staff. Early fixtures included Bensham Manor, Master Bakers, Sutton, Erith, Metropolitan Police, Bethlem Hospital, Croydon to name a few. In 1934 the club move to Waddon Wells where we are today. We have a 7 rink bowling green and great little pavilion. The Club is often used by the B.C.B.A, B.C.L.B.A and the County. We hold many social events and have darts team which play in the winter. There is also a crib team which play in a league through the winter months. We are a friendly club that would welcome estabilished bowlers, new bowlers and social members.
Join our Bowls Club
I have been to many bowls club trying to decide which one to join & couldnt have found a more friendly welcoming club than C.M.O's.
Their members all make you feel part of a family & encourage you to take part in as many games as you feel capable of playing.
The green is by far one of the best keep & playable greens anywhere in Surrey.
If you are thinking of taking up bowls, then i would highly recommend joining C.M.O's
On behalf of the Norfolk Past Presidents Bowling Association I would like to thank the officers and members of CMO Bowls club for their very warm welcome and the way that they went out of their way to look after us during our visit today.
Everything that they did on our behalf was very much appreciated by our members.
Again thank you.
A traditional green bowling club with a decent sized clubhouse. Parking on the premises for bowlers, just off Purley Way. Bar & 2 darts boards, winter social.
Lovely club. Very nice and friendly atmosphere, great bar and good beer.
